Bad News for Bones' fans
- BUDDYTV.com
Bad news for all Bones fans out there. Apparently, FOX has decided to put off airing the remaining pre-strike episodes of the hit series until this spring. This is a clear indication that the network is preparing itself for a prolonged writers' strike.
Additionally, when Bones returns with the new episodes, fans will have to clear their Monday night schedule, as the show will be moving to that day's 8pm timeslot. It will serve as a lead-in to FOX's new courtroom drama, Canterbury's Law, starring ER alum Julianna Margulies and Emmy-nominated actor Aidan Quinn (Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, Legends of the Fall). The tandem kicks off on April 28, which marks the beginning of May sweeps.
A total of three episodes were completed before the strike broke out, but TV Guide's Michael Aussielo is reporting that a never-before-seen installment will be aired along with the three. The episode is none other than the one FOX pulled from its schedule last season in the wake of the Virginia Tech massacre. The episode, which centered on a school shooting, has been “tweaked slightly” and is scheduled to air sometime in May.
FOX also announced earlier that Bones, which is currently on rerun mode, will be airing Fridays at 9pm beginning March 14.
The last aired new episode of Bones was the Christmas special, through which fans finally witnessed Bones (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) locking lips. Of course, in light of the holiday season, the kiss was done under a mistletoe.
